Meet Paul B. Tucker

Lead Advisor, Racial Equity & Program Facilitation

Paul is a multiracial gay man who has been doing diversity for 17 years. He began his DEIBA work by facilitating roundtable discussions about race/class/gender intersectionality. His experience has grown by helping diversify entry-level talent in Chicago’s tech industry, developing DEIBA strategies, and co-leading DEIBA committees and working groups. As an OPHR Advisor, Paul primarily contributes his expertise to create resources that enable businesses to design and implement strategies so that their teams can develop sustainable organizational cultures. Paul has a deep commitment and experience in supporting learning and development related to DEIBA and race relations in particular. He’s OPHR’s self-professed geek who loves dashboards, KPIs and OKRs, and reports. He regularly immerses himself in data to determine the impact of DEIBA programs. 

Paul received bachelors degrees in social work and Spanish from Michigan State University, and he earned a Masters in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago.
